As I was pricing fence pickets, I noticed the local lumber store had a more rough looking wood with a more red color. The major retail store had the same cedar pickets, but they were whiter and more like pine and about half the price. Is there a reason for this???

Why doesnt Home Depot or Lowe's sell cedar lumber? They dont sell 1x3's 1x4's etc. in cedar buy they sell oak, poplar and pine. Please, no dumb replies. Thank you, very much.

We made a house out of cedar for the litter box.

I can't find it on either the safe woods or unsafe woods lists and was wondering if anyone knew. thanks!
